Hardware Product Development for US Teams

Electuni LLC is a US-registered electronic product development company that designs hardware, firmware and companion software for startups and OEM teams. This page explains how an engagement is set up: contracting, NDA and IP ownership, communication, the engineering workflow, what you receive and how prototypes are built.

Contracting with a US-registered company

Electuni LLC is registered in Wyoming, so US clients contract with a US limited liability company. The registered office is 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801. It is the company's legal address for official correspondence, not a location where engineering work takes place.

Electuni LLC has a DUNS number, 142739912, which procurement and vendor onboarding teams can use to verify the company. Contracts, invoices and correspondence are issued in the name of Electuni LLC.

Electuni has delivered 500+ PCB designs since it was founded in 2016 and has shipped 500+ production boards. Clients are in the USA, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Austria and Australia.

NDA and intellectual property

A mutual NDA is signed before any technical discussion, so your product details are protected from the first conversation.

The client owns the delivered designs, source code and files. Schematics, PCB layouts, firmware and documentation produced for a project are delivered to the client.

How communication works

Electuni is a remote-first engineering team. Project communication is written first: progress, decisions and open questions are recorded in written updates so they can be reviewed and shared inside your team.

Calls are scheduled around the client's working hours in the US. Calls are used for kickoff, design reviews and decisions that are easier to resolve in conversation.

We typically respond within 24 hours on business days. Messages can be sent to [email protected].

Engineering workflow

Every project follows a six-step process, so you know what is being worked on and what you will review next.

  • Discovery: requirements, constraints, target cost and the product's use are written down and agreed.
  • Architecture: the system block diagram, key components and technical risks are defined before detailed design starts.
  • Design: schematics, PCB layout, firmware and enclosure work are carried out by our engineering team.
  • Review: designs are checked against the requirements and for manufacturability before release, and you review them before files go to fabrication.
  • Prototype: boards are fabricated and assembled, then brought up and tested against the requirements.
  • Handoff: production files, source code and documentation are delivered so your team or manufacturer can continue.

What you receive

At handoff you receive the source files and manufacturing outputs needed to build, change and maintain the product. The exact list depends on the agreed scope.

  • Schematics
  • PCB layout files
  • Gerber or ODB++ fabrication files
  • Bill of materials (BOM)
  • Firmware repository with build instructions
  • Design and handoff documentation

Prototypes

Prototype boards can be sourced through prototype services such as JLCPCB or PCBWay. These services fabricate and assemble boards from the Gerber or ODB++ files and BOM produced during design.

If you prefer to use your own fabricator or contract manufacturer, the same files are delivered in standard formats so they can be sent directly.

For PCB layout-only projects, Electuni's PCB division at https://www.circuit-board-design.com handles the work under the same lead engineer, Niloy Mondal, who is IPC CID and CID+ certified.
